So now would be the time to allude to the fact that we based Gunterman on a real comic book guy who had quite the odious reputation online some years ago. He’s still around, and you internet detectives may be able to piece out who inspired his creation. But you’ll get no further hints from me. Unless you ask really nicely.
That first panel was hard to draw… emotionally.
I hope everyone sees how this character fits the vision of our comic.
This character is actually a mix of an idea I had for a character and an idea Logan had been planning for awhile. I noticed how the two kind of fit together.
I take a dim view of this one.
Oh my gosh! this strip took me FOREVER to create. It’s SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO complicated! Why Logan? Why do you do these things to me?
So I have good news and bad news. The good news is this chapter is over. The bad news is that we’re too dumb to quit this comic, and the next chapter is coming right up. Aren’t you guys lucky?
The iBad makes a return in this strip, as does the Cenrifugal City news media.

Don’t judge me. We’re wrapping up this chapter soon, so I need to work all the bad eco-puns out of my system.

Well, I was supposed to work on the New Years Strip yesterday afternoon before the big party.
But after getting out of church, I found the future famous WNC ice storm of 2017 had covered all the roads in a thick sheet of sleet induced black ice. I tried to inch down the road, but found it impossible to navigate the icy death trap in my tiny, little, and light-as-a-feather Ford Escort. I ended up sitting in a freezing car in front of a closed Subway shop for two and a half hours, waiting for my dad to come pick me up in his SUV and then another 2 and a half hours inching home behind nearly parking lot traffic. By the time I got home, it was 11:30 at night. No friends, no party, and no comic. All because of an ice storm that somehow happened without a hint of precipitation.
All I can say is “Thank you Lord for getting me home safely.”
So, yeah. Awesome way to start out the new year! *Gives Thumbs Up*

I really like the color scheme in this one. It’s a nice change of pace from the “Gree/Blue/White” that has inindated this chapter. (Although those ARE my favorite colors)

The real beauty of comics is that Liz has been falling for over a week. Where did she start, the moon?
This is the moment I’ve been waiting for since the begining of chapter 2.
The saving, not necessarily the splatting.
So by reverting Liz from being an anvil, has Draco made her lose weight? If so, is that a bad thing?
These are the thoughts that keep me up at night. That and whether or not we will finally get a Universal Monsters Cinematic Universe.
I’m liking these action scenes. They’re harder to draw but a lot more satisfying to finish.
